In recent weeks, the players of the 2017 edition of Master’U BNP Paribas have achieved great performances. Either on the ATP circuit or on the American university circuit. A short overview.
We start with a winner of the 2017 edition in Lille! After a double victory at Bergamo (Italy) in March, Johny O’Mara put it back! The Scotsman, who plays for Great Britain, won the ATP Tour Challenger doubles tournament in Surbiton and made his entry in the the Top100 double world ranking. A remarkable performance for the 23-year-old
On the other side of the Atlantic, American students are shining brightly! What about the season of Martin Redlicki, finalist with the USA last December? He just won the NCAA title in doubles for the second time in his career after 2016, he climbed to the 1/2 final of the singles tournament and was named player of the year PAC12 (see video below). His compatriot and classmate at the University of California Los Angeles, Ena Shibahara is not left out. Eighth of a finalist in singles and quarterfinalists with her team, she was named a player to watch, that is to say a potential candidate to win the Southwest Regional Championship.
